- Network connectivity
The HP EliteBook 2540p series notebook comes with an Intel Core i7-620M processor running at 2.66GHZ. This is a dual core processor. It has 4 MB of L3 cache is available with it. The maximum turbo frequency is 3.333GHz. The processor features include Turbo Boost Technology, Hyper-Threading Technology, Virtualization technology and enhanced Speed step technology. The memory type is a DDR3 at 800/1066MHz. The power consumption is about 35watt TDP.
The HP EliteBook 2540p is equipped with an 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM. The memory bus runs at a maximum of 1066 MHz with voltage as low as about 1.5v. This reduces power consumption and heat generation and enables a denser memory. The DDR3 SDRAM has higher bandwidth due to its increased clock rate. The reduced power consumption is due to 90mm of fabrication technology.
Integrated Intel Gigabit Ethernet is used as the network interface. There are plenty of network connectivity options like optional HP Mobile Broadband with GPS, Intel Centrino 802.11a/b/g/n, Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n and HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth 2.1 Wireless Technology. With these technologies you can easily access the network resources. It is also possible to create a dozen different connection types and use them whenever you choose.
