In order to resolve these issues we have chalked out some steps for you to follow.
Here are a few tips to resolve the various issues related to your EliteBook 8530W:
- Uninstall and reinstall problem software
- Update BIOS
- Test the hard drive to repair it
Uninstall and reinstall problem software
To resolve the problem that is causing the notebook to lock-up, uninstall the suspected software and then re-install it. If your software has come with an uninstaller program, use it first. Then uninstall all versions of the same program and make sure to remove it completely. Sometimes just upgrading it does not completely remove the older version and resulting in incompatibility.
Update Basic Input/ Output System
The errors can also be the result of a corrupted Basic Input/ Output System or BIOS. In order to troubleshoot these issues, you need to update BIOS. If a BIOS corruption error occurs, the computer recognizes the error and starts attempting to recover it. You might experience an extra-long startup process with a message indicating BIOS has been recovered, displayed on your screen after it restarts. If this occurs, update BIOS on the PC.
Test the hard drive of your system to fix the error and correct it. Software for testing a specific hard drive can be downloaded from the Internet and installed on your PC. If it passes the test, the hardware is not damaged but if it fails, you can contact HP® service and support for instructions on how to order a replacement hard drive.
