Bluetooth® in HP ENVY® 13 HD Edition
Tips on Bluetooth in HP ENVY 13 HD Edition.
The HP ENVY 13 HD edition comes with all the features that are needed for mobility. It has support for wireless connectivity and Bluetooth. Its computational power is considerable with Intel processor and its style is enhanced by Windows 7. However, the main thing that makes a notebook worthwhile is its ability to connect to other devices. This means that sharing data has been made easy. Bluetooth is the universal wireless technology that can be used to connect a variety of peripherals. This includes Bluetooth enabled computers, mobile phones, printers and so on. It should be noted that Bluetooth operates within a certain range. Typically, the range of Bluetooth is around 9 meters. In HP ENVY 13 HD edition, you can turn on or turn off the built-in Bluetooth device by pressing the Bluetooth button that can be found on the keyboard.
Here is how you establish Bluetooth connectivity between your notebook and other Bluetooth devices.
- Check whether Bluetooth is turned on
- Pair the Devices
- Test the Connectivity
Check whether Bluetooth is turned on
In order for the devices to be connected, Bluetooth must be turned on in both the notebook and the device. Once you turn on the Bluetooth, change the Bluetooth settings and make sure that the visibility is turned on. If visibility is turned off, then the other device might not be able to detect your notebook. You should also check whether the devices are within the Bluetooth range.
Pair the Devices
The HP Network Assistant will help you with this step. Right click on the 'Bluetooth' icon found in your system tray and click 'Add a Bluetooth device'. This will scan the devices present within range. The result will be displayed. Click on the device that needs to be connected. You will be required to enter a pass code. This should be entered exactly in the other device too. Once the code is verified, the device will be paired to your notebook.
You can test the connectivity by initiating a Bluetooth transfer. If you have connected a Bluetooth enabled computer to your HP ENVY 13 HD edition, then you can try sending a file from your notebook to the other computer. If you have connected a Bluetooth printer, then you can try printing a file. If the operation succeeds, then you have successfully established Bluetooth connectivity.
