HP Enterprise Services has yet again grabbed a contract from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). HP is one of the awardees among the 21 vendors who will be working for the Connections II contract. The company is currently working on Connections I contract, which will be completed by January 2012.
Senior Vice President and General Manager, U.S. Public Sector, HP Enterprise Services, Marilyn Crouther said, “Agencies looking to modernize and streamline the management of their telecommunications environment can turn to GSA’s Connections II contract vehicle. As a long-time service provider to GSA, HP has a proven track record of delivering the advanced technologies that will be available under Connections II.”
In Connections I contract, clients had the power to select their own sets of solutions. However, in Connection II, GSA has set some specific solutions for all the 21 vendors to bring about some uniformity.
GSA Connection II contract has four solution sets all together:-
1. Communications and Networking Solutions
2. Building and Campus Facility Preparation
3. Operations and Administration & Management (OA&M)
4. Customer Service and Technical Support
Connection II is a multiple-agency contract providing various solutions to the U.S. federal agencies ranging from telecommunications equipment, infrastructure support for building and campus, and technical support.
HP also provides communication and network support to the U.S. federal government agencies under the Networx contract vehicle. This contract provides agencies with fast and flexible access to the latest innovative technology through government-wide acquisitions (GWACs) and indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicles.
“By choosing HP Enterprise Services you'll be putting operational excellence and best-in-class technology to work for you,” said HP.
