HP has announced three more products that use 3D technology – HP TouchSmart 620 3-D Edition PC, HP 2311gt 3-D monitor, and HP Wireless TV Connect. It also unveiled a new HP Photon Engine Technology for 3D broadcast.
HP TouchSmart 620 3-D Edition PC
This new PC is an innovative product that features ergonomic design and a 23-inch high-definition (HD) display. You can create personalized 3D videos and pictures using the built-in webcam. It also features TriDef 3D game player for an exclusive, new gaming experience. HP TouchSmart 620 3-D Edition PC has Beats Audio for enhanced sound quality. The convenient touch interface of the computer helps you to use Windows apps, desktop icons, etc., simultaneously. You can tilt the PC at a comfortable viewing angle as it pivots up to 180 degrees and reclines by up to 60 degrees. HP TouchSmart 620 3-D Edition PC comes with stereoscopic 3-D glasses. It is expected to be available for purchase from November 15 this month, at a price of $1,599.99 that includes an introductory discount of $300.
HP 2311gt 3-D monitor
This product features a bright and flicker-free 23-inch LED display rendered by the Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) technology. HP has provided Cyberlink PowerDVD software to convert 2D images and videos into 3D ones. The monitor also comes with TriDef 3D game player. The product will be available at a price of $299.99 from November 8.
HP Wireless TV Connect
This WHDI (Wireless Home Digital Interface) certified receiver lets the users view 2D and 3D media content on the TV directly from the PC. The wireless receiver fits in the HDMI port of the PC easily. Using the device, you can stream games, movies and even the web applications. HP Wireless TV Connect is slated to hit the US markets in December with a starting price of $179.99.
HP Photon Engine Technology
This technology, developed by HP Labs, facilitates enterprise-level solutions to broadcast true-to-life 3D content on huge surfaces, such as buildings. This would help the companies customize their data work and interaction with their customers. Recently, Marchesa (a well-known brand in high-end womenswear) used the HP Photon Engine Technology to display its ‘Spring 2012’ collection in 3D.
