As soon as Intel announced the availability of Ivy Bridge processors, computer manufacturers around the globe started updating their product lines with these faster quad-core 22-nanometer chips. After Acer, HP has joined the club and has announced that it will start shipping six desktop models with faster Intel 3rd generation Ivy Bridge processors from April 29, 2012.
Out of the six desktop computers, half will be All-in-One models and the remaining will be stand-alone systems. The first model in the All-in-One category that has been updated is HP Omni 220qd, which features a cantilever design and optional Beats Audio system. The model is priced at US $999. The other two models include HP Omni 27qd and HP TouchSmart 520xt, which will cost you US $1,199 and US $999, respectively.
The stand-alone desktops fleet features HP Pavilion HPE h8t and h8xt that are both aimed at providing an ultimate computing experience. Priced at US $699 and US $799, respectively, these models boast of a simple and sleek design. Lastly, HP Pavilion HPE h9t Phoenix has been designed for people who need to deal with resource hungry applications. And now, with the faster Intel Ivy Bridge processors, you will enjoy playing games and editing videos. HP Pavilion HPE h9t Phoenix will be available for US $1,149 only.
