Know more about uninstalling Windows XP in HP Pavilion Elite HPE-180t
HP Pavilion Elite HPE-180t offers highly powerful multimedia features. The customers could select the software and hardware options according to their multimedia needs. Even though XP is a powerful operating system, some systems might lack the power to work with this. The incompatibility errors would be displayed if the system lacks the power. So the user might be forced to uninstall XP from their system. To uninstall XP from Pavilion Elite HPE-180t system, first you need to start the system in the Safe Mode. For this you just need to press the F8 button. If the system is not your personal system, then login as administrator. Only the system administrator has the authority to do the un-installation from the system. Then select ‘Control Panel’ from the ‘Start’ menu. Double click the ‘Add or Remove Programs’ and then select the ‘Remove’ option in the XP. This would start the un-installation process.
You need to consider some important things during the un-installation process in Pavilion Elite HPE-180t. They are as follows:
- Keep the data back up
- Download proper drivers
- Check the system power
Keep the data back up
Even though the Windows installation disc keeps the data from the system, it would not necessarily be able to keep all the files. The installation disc could not make a distinction between the needed and unneeded files from the system. If you want to keep any of the files, then move those files to an additional storage space such as USB. After the installation of new operating system, you could copy these files from that additional storage.
Download proper drivers
The drivers for XP and other operating systems are different. So, you need to download proper drivers before the un-installation of XP. To find the proper drivers, you could use the ‘Device Manager’ in the system.
Power back up is also necessary to complete the un-installation process. So, charge the system completely before the un-installation process. If the system shuts down due to lack of power, then the un-installation also would be failed and that might corrupt the removal files of XP.
