HP Pavilion Slimline S5350z is a desktop that gives high performance with multitasking. Small form factor is a key feature of this model. It uses AMD Athlon X4 630 quad-core processor, 3 GB DDR3 memory, 500 GB SATA hard disk for storage etc. with an option to select up to 1.5 TB. Windows 7 Home Premium is the operating system by default. However you may prefer to us the common OS Windows XP in your system. If you need to install Windows 7 again, you need to uninstall Windows XP from your system. You can uninstall Windows XP by using the ’Uninstall Windows XP‘ option in ‘Control Panel’ after logging in safe mode. Also you could use the original OS CD which can uninstall the existing OS and install new one.

Save all important files
Before uninstalling Windows XP form your HP Pavilion Slimline s5350z desktop, you need to take a back up of all the important files. If you have only one partition in your system, save the files to an external media. If there is another partitions available save these files to one other than the one in which the OS is installed.
While uninstalling, it should be made sure that enough power back up is there. If the process is interrupted with a power failure, there are chances that the uninstallation is not completed and the OS get corrupted. In such case you can not be able to start the OS again.
