Shut down issues in the HP ProBook 4415s
The HP ProBook 4415 is a student notebook unveiled by HP. The AMD Athlon II is the processor that powers HP ProBook 4415s. It has a bus speed of 320 MHz; 2 GB is the installed RAM memory which can be further upgraded to 8 GB. The memory technology is DDR2 SDRAM. The hard disk capacity is 250 GB with a 14 inch screen size. It comes with Windows 7 which can be downgraded to Windows XP Professional. Other features are a DVD-RAM RW optical drive. The entire system might experience a sudden shutdown over a period of time; the major problems are virus attacks, overheating of CPU and power failure. Good care should be taken in order to prevent the shutdown.
Tips to solve a sudden shutdown in the HP ProBook 4415s:
- Virus attacks
- CPU overheating
- Power failure
Virus attacks or other malicious software might be responsible for the sudden shut down. When you connect to the Internet and access sites that are suspicious, viruses might get into your system. The presence of a virus will change or delete the system files which are responsible for the loading of the Operating System. Install good antivirus software in order to protect the system and scan the system periodically. Any virus responsible for this problem will be removed over time.
CPU overheating is the main reason for sudden computer shut down. The CPU gets loaded when plenty of programs are loaded or running altogether. A shut down occurs immediately due to overheating and the message that might appear on the screen is “Computer shutdown due to overheating” so CPU overheating should be prevented. Clean the air vents and ensure that the cooling fans are working properly to dissipate the heat that is produced by the system.
The sudden shutdown on the system might occur because there is no power supplied to the system. So if the data’s is not saved, all the information will be lost. The battery charge of the laptop must be checked frequently to avoid a sudden shutdown. The battery of the laptop should be changed if it gets depleted continuously and fails to save any charge. If such a case occurs you must save the data frequently to avoid the loss of information.
